Distilleries
Fortrose is within easy driving distance of a number of distilleries. There are many distillery tours on offer, please ask Stephen and Fiona for more information on booking.

Dalmore Distillery produces a refined Highland malt. Drew Sinclair (the distillery manager) conducts tours himself. Having worked at the distillery for thirty six years, he knows The Dalmore intimately! Tours are by appointment. Bookings can be made by telephone on 01349 882 362. Glen Morangie Distillery is perhaps one of the better known hotspots, producing a well known single malt Scotch Whisky. An established visitor attraction, Glen Morangie Distillery has a gift shop and offers guided tours. Glen Morangie Distillery
Clynelish Distillery is further North, located on the A9 in the town of Brora. Spring water from the Clynemilton burn is used to produce a fruity, smoky single malt Scotch whisky. Opening times vary as do tours. Appointments by telephone 01408 623000
Balblair Distillery is a lesser known distillery in Tain, in unspoiled scenic surroundings. It's one of Scotland's oldest operating distilleries (founded in 1790).
From Inverness, take the A9 north, over the Kessock Bridge with its beautiful views over the Moray Firth. Pass a sign for the Dolphin Centre and head for Black Isle. At the Tore roundabout, head for Fortrose and Cromarty. Pass through Munlochy, continue on to Fortrose. More Details
